Stacie (Chambersburg, PA) says:
The Westin Kierland is LARGE and lovely, large being the key word. This is our second stay, and sometimes bigger is not always better. You can't beat the place for atmosphere, the beds and bathrooms are wonderful, but the staff at the check in counter could use some work, not the friendliest we have met. We came to the conclusion this time, that part of a corporate group or large private function will get you somewhere at the Westin, I don't think they really care to much about a couple or a family just out for a vacation. The prices you pay are very high, the facility is new and modern, and has lots to offer, but don't expect to find a parking place if you have any large parties at the resort, the valet wanted us to use their services once we checked in, as we were told they were having 2000 people at our hotel the first night we were there and they could not guarantee us a parking spot if we left to go somewherer for dinner. We spent a lot of money on our trip and did not feel that we needed to spend an additional $21 for the evening just to have a parking place for a place we were staying at. We were told if we came back from dinner around 10 or 11pm, we would have no problem. The issue was we left from the east coast around 6am and by 8pm at the latest, we were tired. We walked to the Kierland Commons and had dinner at Morton's, absolutely wonderful, but still a bit unaccomodating on the Kierland's part.
