About Wildfire At Desert Ridge - Palmer (Phoenix, AZ)
The two excellent courses at Wildfire are as distinct as their designers -- Arnold Palmer and Nick Faldo. The Palmer course is the original design at Wildfire and has been described as an exceedingly playable course; challenging, yet fair. Using the natural attributes of the site, Palmer called on all his experience to create a truly exceptional course. Faldo's design is reminiscent of the great sand belt courses of Australia with 106 bunkers, generous fairways, and large bent grass greens. Located in Northeast Phoenix, Wildfire is easily accessible from most area hotels.

Fabulous condition and practice facility. Aesthetically it did not leave a great impression. I told the guys in my group on about the 16th hole.... How many holes on this course do you remember or do they all blend together? We felt it was a great conditions layout, but would not pay the premium to play it again.
